Define Country Boy Meaning

After reading some of y'alls descriptions of a "country boy" I decided I needed to add my two cents.

Most people nowadays think a country boy is someone who drives daddy's truck, wears camo, listens to new (pop) country music, and drinks beer. Y'all got it all wrong. A real country boy may or may not have been raised in the backwoods, but loves the outdoors and spends a lot of their time fishin', huntin', sittin' around a bonfire with friends, and muddin'. They're generally laid back but do have a wild side. A real country boy usually drives a pick up truck, listens to older, as well as new, country music. They hunt, fish, and stick to their roots. They are hard workers and don't take things for granted. The good Lord above is always the one they praise and they are very strong-wiled. A real country boy expresses his beliefs, although they may be unpopular, and isn't afraid to speak the truth.

A real country boy is kind in nature but very masculine, and always treats his woman with respect. They are generally very polite, old fashioned, easy-going, and genuine.

A true blue country boy works hard for what he wants, loves and treats his girl and family right, and lives for Jesus.

Just because some guy drives a new truck, wears camo, and flies a rebel flag doesn't mean a thing. It all has to do with how you were raised, your morals, and your lifestyle.

Not to be confused with a hick or redneck, eventhough he can be considered them occasionally. Isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty when he is needed to work and also not afraid to defend his country at any given time. Laid back and relaxed but can get aggressive when someone offends his family, friends, beliefs, or girlfriend. He won't back down from a fight, but won't just go out and start one for no reason. He is usually respected by his community as being a hardworking and generous person. Not afraid to give the shirt off his back for anyone in need

Works hard, plays hard. Can usually fix just about anything that needs fixing including trucks, home repair, yard repair, light to heavy machinery, etc. Knows how to relax. Common relaxing hobbies include kicking back with friends, bond fires, muddin, light to moderate drinking.

Usually found wearing old worn in jeans, boots or crocs, faded out hat, t-shirt. When dressing up, attire includes old worn out jeans, clean boots, button down shirt or polo. Hat optional

As far as relationships go, country boys are typically loud mouths when it comes to talking about girls, but are true and faithful when it comes to the one he loves. Country boys are fearfully protective of a girlfriend's honor and reputation. It's best to test them by making sexual references about their significant other, for fear of bodily harm.

Common hot spots are: degradation of his family, girlfriend, country/region. Country boys know how to fight. Although typically slender and lanky in stature, country boys can handle themselves swiftly and accurately in a scrap.

A Country Boy is a male living in a rural area or the country. Contrary to normal belief, a Country boy can come from states other than the American South (Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, etc.). Are proud of their country and will fight for it if needed, generally lean to the right of politics (Northern Country Boys are usually Republicans/Conservatives while Southern Country Boys are Democrats/Conservatives.), Loving of people who deserve but will put a boot in the ass of someone who deserves it. Usually drives a truck varying from any American made companies (Ford, Dodge, Chevy), with the exception of Toyota. Supports American soldiers, and will fuck you up if you try to tell them America sucks. Any person of any race or religion who grows up in the country or rural area is considered a country boy. If a person is from the country and he is anti-American, and is a Liberal hippy commy, he's just a prick. Fun activities of the Country Boys are mudding, fishing, hunting, bon fires, and drinking. The country boys that do smoke usually smoke Marlboro Reds (from what I've experienced). Listens to Country music, Southern Rock, or Hick Hop. Both northern and southern country boys may or may not fly a Confederate Flag.

Guys who drive pick up trucks and tractors, listen to country music, speak with a sexy southern accent (and/or aren't afraid to say y'all) and marry their high school sweethearts.
They're fucking sexy in a pair of cowboy boots and hat and even sexier when they take it all off.

They know how to treat a girl well and contrary to popular beliefs they do not beat their wives that would be a hick or an asshole.

Country boy is a phrase and the meaning refers to a young lad who resides with his family in their household, but outside of the local city or town.

A young man who was raised in the American south. i.e. Florida, Alalbama, Georiga, Mississippi etc.
