Country
a genre of american music developed in the southern united states, with its roots in english and irish folk tunes, african-american blues stylings, and gospel. usually incorporates quavering vocals, fiddles, guitars, and southern accents. used to be decent(think patsy cline, loretta lynn) has now generally deteriorated into radio-friendly, predictable, over-done, poorly rhymed little ditties that all sound alike.

Country
A type a music that is good and often stereotyped as for only hicks, rednecks, farmers, etc. This stereotype isn't true. Most songs are played with an acoustic guitar. Most major players in the genre are solo, not in a group.

Girl: Hey put on some country.
Boy: I am not a hick.
Girl: It's over. I hate you.

Country
The best music ever until the mid '90s. Reba, Dolly, Loretta, Alan, Porter; they're the best. The late Patsy Cline and Dottie West too. Now it is watered down and might was well merge with pop.
Also used to describe a person with sense enough not to become immoral with the rest of the world.

I love old country music, but new country needs to die.

There are sadly few country people in today's society.

Country
A boy or a girl who is hard working, determined, has a love for hunting, fishing, rodeo/riding/ranch work. To be country means to not be scared of the outdoors and strenuous work, and they typically work blue collar jobs such as welders, graders, landscapers, etc. If a guy rides bulls or broncs, depending on his personality he would be classified more as a cowboy. Same goes for barrel racers or ropers for girls, they’re usually called cowgirls. They either grew up on land or have land somewhere close to ride/hunt/fish/camp on.

Being country is less about what you wear but more about what’s inside, and music taste can be a key definer. If someone listens to kane brown, FGL, or dan & shay, you are NOT country. Your big heart and punchiness and manners is also a key to being country.

“Is she a country girl?”
“Yes ma’am she loves being on her land and working on our ranch!”
