The plural form of hug; more than one warm, affectionate embrace (whether offered by the same person or by many).

Hugs can't solve everything, but they do help a good friend know that you love them.

A pleasant alternative to other, more vulgar terms that are derived from physical intimacies. A watered-down explicative. A term to be used when innocent ears are around or when the setting dictates that obscenities not be used (i.e. business lunch, meeting with parole officer, picking up the kids at daycare.)

Man 1: "Hey ya dumb SOB, that was my parking spot!"
Woman 1 (in Minivan with kids) "Yea, well go hug yourself"

Man 1: "My wife just left me."
Man 2: "Man, that really hugs."

Parole Officer 1: "The judge just rescinded your parole cuz your still addicted to crack and you knocked over that liquor store."

Reprobate 1: "Man, that hugs! you can tell that judge to Hug Off."

A hug can be between friends, relatives, man and woman, and human and animal, as well as animal to animal. A hug is an expression of warmth and friendliness with arms outstretched around the other. Hugs are used as an expression of love, kindness, sympathy, friendliness, greetings and used sometimes to say goodbye. Hugs, or cuddles provide a sense of intimacy. If there is chemistry between two people when hugging, then a tingling sensation can occur.

She says:- "your hugs are amazing!"
He says, "Why, it's just a hug? Lol"
She says, "'Cause they make me tingle!"
He says, "Where do they make you tingle, lol"
She says, "All over!"
He says, "Lol."

The hugs made her tingle because she had chemistry for the guy, something that doesn't come along very often!

Where one being wraps their arms around the body of another being and holds them close for a moment. The psycho-physical message is along the lines of: "It's okay, I've got you"

Is mostly non-sexual, unless you go for a grope halfway through it ;)

Not strictly limited to humans, hugging can be done by other species, replacing arms with wings, tentacles, hooves, etc....

Within friendship, hugging can be a great way of expressing support and platonic love :)

Nice things you can get from anyone. Boys, girls, animals, aliens, friends, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your wife, your husband, your hubby, etc. They can be nice and warm and happy. Or quick and friendly. Everybody likes hugs, right?

A hug is an affectionate embrace with someone special. It encompasses sharing your space with the person, sharing your heart, sharing your spirit, sharing your energy and sharing your love.

A true hug will illicit magic and it can be felt by both people in embrace. When you are in love with someone, give them a hug to talk their worries, hurts, anxiety, sadness and pain away.

to truly embrace who your loved one is within, you have to embrace him and know him through a hug.
