Korea
Korea is often looked down upon by weaboos as a “copycat” of Japan. Unfortunately, Japan holds a long history of adopting Korean and Chinese culture to be their own.

Even in ancient times. During the Three Kingdoms period of Korean history, the Hwarang invented KumDo (or “Living Blade”) a style of sword mastery. The life style and martial arts of the Hwarang would eventually be adopted by the Samurai lords in Japan, and named “Kendo”.

Japan and Korea, though on fairly good terms in modern day, have had an ill past, especially during World War 2 where Japan commit countless atrocities against Korea. Many of these atrocities are immortalized in Korean museums where you can see images of Korean women walking many miles with stones in their dress to stone Japanese soldiers.

Koreans are proud and noble people, and are very reserved. They have good food, which can often be quite spicy.

Korea is also home to Seoul, one of the worlds busiest cities. The city has a population of 10 million, living in a fairly small space.

A recent census in the U.S.A. showed roughly 600,000 Koreans living within its borders.

Korea is also home to innovation, and produces some of the worlds most intuitive electronic and communicative devices. Unlike Japan, Korea focuses more on inventions of useful application, and bringing people together.

Their language is also considered one of the most mathematical in the world.

Kimchi is a delectable dish made by the Koreans, it is their national dish.

Korea
a nation with a sad history.
Korea was colonized by the Japs during the WW2.
Korean people seriously hate Japan for this, partly
because many women that were military prostitutes at
that time still lives on. But!! the Japs refuse to apologize for those old women.

My grandfather's friend
was killed during that time for teaching Korean to his kids. You know what happened to him? The japs poured hydrochloric acid on him and then stuffed him into a bucket thats no bigger than your printer.
For teaching Korean to his kids!!!
I don't like how Korean ppl get so emotional
when they talk about how much their people
suffered, either. Still, I think they deserve an
apology.

Korea
A peninsula that located at the 38th parallel. It borders China and Russia at the north with Japan situated to the east. The Korean Peninsula is divided into two separate nations, North Korea and South Korea. However, the name "Korea" is often used to refer to South Korea due to its greater economic significance and influence in the world.

The history of Korea began with the legendary founding of Gojoseon in 2333 BC by Dangun. Limited linguistic evidence suggests probable Altaic origins of these people, whose northern Mongolian steppe culture absorbed migration and trade with the peoples of Manchuria and China. The adoption of the Chinese writing system ("hanja" in Korean) in the 2nd century BC, and Buddhism in the 4th century AD, had profound effects on the Three Kingdoms of Korea. Baekje later passed on a modified version of these cultural advances to Japan. In 1910, Korea was forcibly annexed by Japan and remained occupied until the end of World War II in August 1945. In 1945, the Soviet Union and the United States agreed on the surrender and disarming of Japanese troops in Korea; the Soviet Union accepting the surrender of Japan north of the 38th parallel and the United States taking the surrender south of it. This led to division of Korea by the two superpowers, exacerbated by their inability to agree on the terms of Korean independence. The two Cold War rivals then established governments sympathetic to their own ideologies, leading to Korea's current division into two political entities: North Korea and South Korea. With the defeat of Japan in 1945, the United Nations developed plans for a trusteeship administration, the Soviet Union administering the peninsula north of the 38th parallel and the United States administering the south. The politics of the Cold War resulted in the 1948 establishment of two separate governments, North Korea and South Korea. In June of 1950 North Korea invaded the South, using Russian tanks and weaponry. During the Korean War (1950-1953), millions of civilians died and the three years of fighting throughout the nation effectively destroyed most cities. Around 171,000 POWs were captured and held by the Americans and South Koreans on Geojedo (an island in the south The war ended in a ceasefire agreement at approximately the Military Demarcation Line (Korea).

Since then, South Korea has soared economically leaving its northern neighbor in the dust. North Korea has a horrible economy and a freakishly huge military which does practically nothing. According to accepted estimates, North Korea spends $5 billion out of a gross domestic product (GDP) of $20.9 billion on the military, compared with South Korea's $24 billion out of a GDP of $1.196 trillion.

The North Korean government uses propaganda against South Korea and officially states on its website that the U.S. government controls South Korea, and maintains an army of 40,000 US military personnel there to "avoid the union of the Korean people". North Korea also advises that any South Korean attempting to cross into North Korea will be killed by U.S. soldiers. According to North Korea, any South Korean citizen who talks or reads about North Korea will be punished with incarceration or capital punishment. This perspective is rejected by the international community at large.

Korea
One of the best places in Asia, home of some of the best Asian singers, home of the awesomest people on earth, and of course... the best food!

Korean Singers/Bands:
BoA
ShinEE
Shinhwa
Super Junior
Fly To The Sky
KARA
Wonder Girls
SNSD (Girls Generation)
Epik High
Big Bang
F.T. Island

Korean Food:
Kalbi
Kimbap
Kimchee

The official language of Korea is Korean or Hangul (한글) and there is North Korea and South Korea.
North Korea is the one with Kim Jong Il and nobody from North Korea is allowed to leave their country with the exceptions of Kim Jong Il's family. (So save yourself from stupidity and don't ask some random korean person you know if they are from North Korea or South Korea because if they were from North Korea, they would most likely be dead. And so would you).
South Korea is the one with a lot more freedom, great cities and a beautiful island called Jejudo Island (or Jeju). There is a PC Room and a Karaoke Room on almost every block and you can get great food even on the stands in the streets such as gaeranbang, boonguh bang, and tteukbokki instead of just boring hot dogs like New York.

In short, Korea is the best place on earth you can ever be in and if your state doesn't have a Koreatown, its not an official state.

Korea
A peninsula in East Asia. A country renown for it's beautiful women and interesting culture. It's often compared to Japan, because of a somewhat hostile feeling between the two countries. If one compares Korean and Japanese women, he/she will find that Japanese women often tend to look like sluts while most Korean women have a fresh beauty. There are many ugly women in Japan because of incest. This is not a joke, it's for real. This could be seen as a negative effect from Japan's perverted sex culture. Japan is well known as the "country of fetish and taboo" by many. It's porn is centered around incest, rape, abuse, bsdm etc. Korean and Japanese food is also often compared but this is pointless seeing as it's all asian food eaten with chopsticks and rice. Japan is known for it's anime while Korea is known for it's wonderful soap operas and movies.

A: Look! Korea is raping the shit out of Japan!!
B: Holy shit! Japan is liking it!
A: Duh..Japan is a country of taboo and incest.
B: Ahhh..I see.
