A completely useless and meaningless
assignment that university professors assign their students on a
weekly basis. It usually tests on subjects that haven't been covered in class yet, hence "
pre" test. The main problem is that it's also "pre" lesson, and therefore a waste of time.
"Man, did you do the pretest?"
"Yeah, but I couldn't answer any of the questions. We haven't covered any of it yet, and it's not
in the book!"
