Southside of a given city commonly used in Chicago...

Basically the better part of Dublin city, and Ireland, actually. Where the affluent and filthy rich live. A million miles from Tallaght, Finglas and Ballymun. A bit like the OC.

The south half of American University's campus, where the majority of alcoholics, drug addicts, and people with other problems live. Southside is an excellent place to get free alcohol, drink in the dorms, and not get caught. Southside is also full of people who think they know everything and think that life should focus around alcoholic and being so cool that you need booze to be happy.

A part of chicago known for being predominantly irish. Southsiders start drinking well before the age of 21, dislike people for no apparent reason, live for the southside irish parade, and love da bears
