A visual novel and anime about
historical figures fighting for a wish-granting Holy Grail. It's separated into three alternate stories (Fate,
Unlimited Blade Works, Heaven's Feel). The main character can summon swords and deals with
survivor's guilt, making him believe he needs to constantly help others to justify his life.
The original Fate/stay night is pretty great, but there are too many
mediocre spinoffs
