Adverb used as a
qualifier in place of "very", "really" or "so". Its use has become extremely common in Southern California, and could be said to be a part of
SoCal English. Similar in use to hella in
Northern California, although super is not generally used to mean "a lot" or "many".
Guy 1: You
picked up your new
board today?
Guy 2: Yeah, I'm super
stoked.
I was super hungry when I got home last night.
She's super intense.
