someone who feels like they arent their birth sex. someone born with a vagina is afab, someone who is born with a penis is amab, and someone who has a mixture of both parts or a mixture of hormones is intersex.
transgender people do not have to have gender dysphoria, but they can have either dysphoria or gender incongruence. incongruence is simply not feeling right, while dysphoria is negative and has a negative impact on how you view yourself.
trans folks can be binary transgender, or nonbinary, have no gender, or a mixture of binary and nonbinary, as long as they dont identify with their agab.

This is a broad term that includes transexual (pre/non or post-op), non-gender, bi (tri & multi) gender, androgynes, etc.

The state of being transgendered may or may not have any bearing on sexual preferences.

Jen was born a female, but as a person is a man.

Bob was born a male, but as a person is a woman.

Karen was born a female, but as a person has no gender.

John was born a male, but as a person switches gender.

transgender is an umbrella term for transitioning/transitioned people. basically anybody that isn't cisgender - & sticks to one type of pronoun uwu. so non-binary, genderqueer, two-spirits, & non-cisgender females/males.
transgender people r people that's gender does not fit their body - more specifically, their genetalia. their brain does not align with their body.
