Define Werve Meaning

Werve
A combination of swerving and weaving when driving intoxicated. Used to describe a situation which is caught immediately and but requires a fairly large correction.
Note: Can be used when not intoxicated, as in werving when you answer your cell phone, dig in your purse for a lighter, put makeup on using your rearview mirror, etc.

When reaching to put his cigarette in the ashtray, the man turned the wheel towards the curb and werved to avoid hitting it.
