The Who
They rival The Beatles when it comes to progression. They started as an R&B cover band, catering to their mod audience. From there, they produced angst-ridden singles like I Can't Explain and My Generation.

They might be best known for their rock opera Tommy, about a deaf dumb and blind boy who becomes a pinball champion and a spiritual leader.

Quadrophenia, another rock opera by The Who, is musically superior to Tommy but lesser known by the general public. It tells the story of a mod named Jimmy who struggles to find his identity and find happiness. I wouldn't be surprised if it strongly influenced American Idiot.

Between the two rock operas, they produced Who's Next, known for Baba O'Riley (aka "Teenage Wasteland), Behind Blue Eyes, and Won't Get Fooled Again.

During their early years, guitarist Pete Townshend and drummer Keith Moon would smash their equipment at the end of their gigs. Good way to get out of doing an encore!

I hope I die before I get old.

Right behind you, I see the millions. On you, I see the glory. From you, I get opinions. From you, I get the story.

Don't cry. Don't raise your eye. It's only teenage wasteland.

Can you see the real me?

Love, reign o'er me!

Who?
An abbreviation for who is she. Contributing to the ‘we don’t know her’ persona when in a situation that can easily reference something from pop culture or an inside joke. It’s mainly used for comedic purposes. It’s perfect to use when you think a situation or object parallels that of a story or person from popular culture. Refuting the ‘who’ basically means who’s that? We don’t know this person anymore because this situation this object encapsulates it better than they would if they were currently here. It’s almost like forget about them look at this instead.

Person: *sees a literal hole in the ground*
Person: Alice and wonderland who?
Person: *has a stick in hand*
Person: Harry Potter who?
Person: *holds a plastic sword*
Person: *GASP* King Arthur who?

The Who
the greatest rock band of all time, originally Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon, with Jimmy Paige, who recorded with The Who's first single, "I Can't Explain"

Considered the greatest live band Ever. Pete Townshend jumped all over the stage, did some awesome guitar tricks, like the windmill.... When the band preformed, and gave it all they had, Drummer Keith Moon, who claimed never to have a drumming lesson ever, started the chaos by kicking out one of his drums, then the band would trash everythng, Amps, guitars, drums, whatever they could,

In 1979, Keith Moon died of a drug overdose,

In 2002, John Entwistle died of a Heart attack

In 2005, the remaining members, Daltrey and Townshend are teaming up with World Renound bassist, Pino Palladino and Zak Starkey, Ringo Starr;s son, to record a new album, codenamed, "WHO2," to be followed by a tour

The who released such classics as "Won't Get Fooled Again" "Who Are You" "Baba O'Riley" "I Can't Explain" "I Can See For Miles" and many more, research them, it's good music

Not the pronoun, but a first baseman with the unlikely name of "Who."

"What's the name of the guy on first base?"
"Who."
"The first baseman."
"Who."
"THE ONE ON FIRST BASE!"
"Who IS the first baseman."
"THAT'S WHAT I WANNA KNOW!!!"

The Who
The quirkiest, strangest band ever to be spawned from the 1960s. Composing of four completley different people with what seemed like absolutely nothing in common, The Who took the rock stage by storm when they introduced their strange performance to the world. The main way the Who brought something new to the stage was by far their endings. After the show was over, they would proceed to completely destroy every single object that happened to be within range. Today, the Who are half disbanded, due to the fact that John Entwhistle, their bass player, and Keith Moon, their "Patent British Exploding Drummer", are both dead. *sob*. Anywhoo, the band is most famous for their two "Rock Operas", "Tommy", and "Quadrophenia". Also, the theme song for "CSI" was written by The Who. the name, naturally, is Who Are You.

"Hey, did you hear this awesome song by The Who?"
