Define 90 Kids Meaning

90s Kids
The 90s kids are probably one of the most annoying people on the internet. They constantly do nothing but talk down to other generations and talk about how the how great the 90s were. They tend react aggressively towards anybody claiming to have watched shows such as Rugrats, Rockos Modern life, or Johnny Bravo. However what they don't realise is that all these cartoons as well as things like Vhs tapes carried on into the 2000s therefore children born in 1997,1998, or 1999 were most likely exposed to these things.

Oliver: Dude I haven't seen Rockos Modern Life since I was 4

Mike: Shut up you're not one of then 90s kids So you never watched that show

Oliver: Dumbass it carried over into the 2000s

90s Kids
A self-administered term which implies that the person thinks the their age group is superior to children of the other decades. Also implies that children of the following decades were not exposed to things such as 90s cartoons and video casettes.

"I just watch an old Disney movie... I'm such a 90s kid."

"You shouldn't have a phone at your age. You should have grown up in the nineties. 90s kids were raised better."

90s Kid
People who were born in the 1990s or the very late 1980s who were as a child exposed to 1990s children's culture. Many children of the 90s feel that they lived good childhoods and like to share their memories with each other of things like the Spice Girls and similar 1990s stuff. One unfortunate side-effect of a few 1990s children is that they believe they have the ability to define who is and isn't a 1990s child by basically making up their own rules as they go along, for example people born as early as 1985 or as late as 2006 trying to join in, or people born in 1994 saying that the cut off point for a 90s kid is the day after they were born even though they seem to forget that people born in the late 90s grew up over the turn of the century and immediately New Years Day 2000 things were barely different to the 1990s and that you could have believed it was the 1990s up to about 2003. This is unfortunate but if you can remember any of the 1990s and none of the 1980s then you're most probably a 1990s kid, unless you are engulfed in 2000s kid-isms like Ben 10 and similar stuff.

"Are you a 1990s kid?"
"Yes"
"When were you born?"
"1997"
"You're not a proper 90s kid like me"
"When were you born?"
"1996"
"I rest my case, your honour"

90s Kid
Someone stuck in the 90s, a few of them not being from the 90s but into 90s shows and culture. Most 90s kids did grow up in the 90s but don't realize half the stuff they 'remember' is stuff kids from the 2000s also remember. They're stuck in a decade and won't let go of it, for better or worst. Most 90s Kids say everything in the 2000s suck because it wasn't from their generation, and most of the time they haven't even watched said shows that 'suck' without giving any backup to why except it not being from their decade.

Regular Kid: God I really like Regular Show and Penguins of Madagascar.

90s Kid: Those shows suck!

Regular Kid: Have you ever seen them?

90s Kid: No, I haven't, they won't be as good as anything from the 90s.

Regular Kid: Then how do you know they suck?

90s Kid: ....

90s Kid
Something that surprisingly still exists in 2019.

Are 90s kids still a thing in 2019? In a few months it's literally gonna be 2020 which will be the start of a whole new decade so these kids need to grow up and move on with their lives already.

90s Kid
A person born between January 1, 1982 and December 31, 1991 who lived more than half of their childhood (years aged 3-12) in the glorious decade of the 1990s. Some people born slightly before or after that range might consider themselves 90s kids too as long as they can remember part of their childhood in the 90s. This demographic would have enjoyed the golden age of Nickelodeon shows, the Disney Renaissance, Goosebumps books, tamagotchi, beanie babies, and Sega Genesis/SNES and later PlayStation/N64. Kids born in the late 90s are under the mistaken impression that they're 90s kids because they were simply born in the decade even though they have no real memory of living in it.

Ryan was born on January 1, 1987. He's the ultimate 90s kid!
Mike was born December 6, 1997. He thinks he's a 90s kid, but he's not.

90s Kid
Someone who grew up primarily in the 1990s, or who has a fanatical attachment to that decade regardless of the fact they were born later. 90s kids and the "things they remember" are a popular subject for irritating Buzzfeed-esque pop culture lists extolling the virtues of that decade.

90s Kid
Someone stuck in the 90s. They have boyband hair and play pokemon on their gameboy and wear those combat trousers with tassly bits hanging off them, or perhaps a pink camo vest top.
They go on about No Doubt and the Spice Girls. They are quite lame and say things like "radical" and "wicked" in a non-scene kid way, with the occassional "for the win".

Person 1: "I'm really getting into No Doubt, they're so cool, I wish I had hair like Gwen Stefani used to have."
Person 2: "Woah dude you're such a 90s kid."

90s Kid
90s kid defines a person born around the mid 80s to the mid 90s. Part of being a 90s kid is living through the decade of change. The quality of cartoons. The lack of the Internet. The experience of the time in general that made them who they are today. It is not solely focused on what is remember in child hood, but how it shaped the views for a majority of the generation born within that time frame. 90s kids come in different forms, so you have those that are more egocentric, and those that are more open minded, but all in all, most 90s kids have a certain train of thought. Quality of life. Being taught by the generation before hand, they also have a sense of morals and views that have come into acceptance today, and many have been made possible because of them. Not to say they are the only contributing factors, but they have been a big part. They are not stuck in the past, but memories do male who you are.

I am a 90s kid. No, they're not 90s kids, look at that. Who does that? They're trying to start a new trend that doesn't even make sense.

90s Kid
Anyone who's age was 15 at any time between 1990 -1999. The idea being that the person was, at some time, old enough to take part in the cultural experiences presented by this decade.

At 5 years old in 1995, this person is highly unlikely to have experienced much, if any, of the impact within the decade. Although technically born in the 90's, any personal expression is more than likely not attributed to the culture, and by the end of the decade (1999) would still be merely 10.

With 1995 - 1996 being a median time frame of the decade, a +/- 5 rule to the age of 10 can be attributed to the person.. Any older or younger, and the person falls outside the scope of influence of the decade.

It is the term "kid" that creates confusion. Some people seem to be using it interchangeably with "adolescent". While adolescent is more closely related (in terms) to adulthood, the term "kid" can properly be used to represent anyone under the age of 18 years of age. The use of the word "kid" is by consequence however, as "90s adolescent" just doesn't have the same appeal.

By that conclusion, technically a child born on Dec. 31, 1999 is a "90s Kid", as would the person be born Jan. 2, 1972, each person having lived at least 1 day under the age of 18 within 1990- 1999.

A "90s Kid" was aware and old enough to take part in the culture and influence around them.
