Define Chuck Hole Meaning

A term used to describe a pothole, especially in Indiana and nearby midwestern states, and during winter freezing weather. Most feared are water filled Chuck holes which can become hidden and big ones have been known to break off automobile wheels.

A rectangular hole put in doors on jail cells. Food is served through them and items are exchanged with other inmates. Also used to communication across the cell block.

The chuck hole being the hole in the door that you are served food through in jail or prison so you can be served while the door is still locked. A chuck hole gangster is an inmate that yells through the chuck hole about how bad ass he is but then can't back it up once the door is open.
