In Spain, the most desired of all the gypsies. Different than the Central and South American meanings of the guajira being a farm girl, or girl from the country.

In Cuba: The guajira sold me the plantains her father grew. In Spain: The guajira danced in the street with the other gypsies and everyone stopped to see only her.
