The term
hi-lo is used in the situation in which one refers to the future as a type of “present tense”. For example, if someone says “On the hi-lo, gimme a drink right now”, this would mean that they are asking for a drink immediately when the time comes
in a little bit. In other words, the person saying “On the hi-lo” is making a
hypothetical situation where the future, or “ln a bit”, is the present, and they are referring their requests to it.
Well, I already
explained how it is used in the definition, so
just look there. Anyways, soon after reading this, on the
hi-lo, read the definition right now.
