‘I want to go home’ may be said by a
suicidal or depressed person meaning that nowhere they are feels like home because of how unfamiliar or hard they may think life is. Home is a place which is
familiar and comforting to yourself and so a person may be using this phrase because to them home just becomes an idea and place that they can't reach. Meaning that when someone wishes to go home, they are just
wishing not to exist or to die (kill themselves ).
