The Low Altitude Assult Transport was a multi-role ship for the Grand Army of the Republic that served from 22-18BBY and saw small use with the Empire. The LAAT had two variants. The LAAT\I, I being for infantry, was used as a gunship and a troop transport for the clone army. The second variation was the LAAT/C, C being for cargo. It was used to transport vehicles to the ground such as the AT-TE.
