An event that once ended before the summer, which was great, since not everybody wants to watch the most intense part of the season all summer, they're ready for it to get over with so they can enjoy their summer, the season free of sports competitions, bad calls by
referees, fights between players, and all the bullshit hype from the media and journalists (no wonder people take vacation in the summer). Not everybody is that desperate to see their
team win, it was once good enough if they won
in June, and the season was long enough without extending to July, which is
silliness. Not anymore though, now people are expected to keep watching until summer is almost over.
Now that the
NBA playoffs extend into at least July, players are being told not to think about the beach or vacation, and they're expected to take these kind of silly expectations seriously. It was bad enough last year when the
NBA Finals took place at the same time as the World series, and hardly anybody knew or paid attention because it wasn't their
top priority, of course.
