Define Nissan Skyline Meaning

The market name of a famous 90's Japanese Tuner car. Unlike what muscle boys often think, this car is all go and no show, if tuned well.

A car that became popular in the 90s due to it being a icon in The Fast and Furious franchise. But unlike the movie, this car is all show and no go.(unless you put 3 turbos on it and gut the interior)

One of the most recent series of the Nissan Skyline. The R34 was produced from 1998-2001, and was sold from 1999-2002. It featured Nissan's RB series engine. This inline 6-cyliner, 2.5 liter engine came stock with Dual Overhead Cams, and Electronic Fuel Injection. A turbocharger was optional on most models.

The "GT-R" series of the R34 came in 1999. It offered the same RB series engine, but with 2.6 liters. There were 10 different R34's available from Nissan. All of them featured dual turbochargers.

up until the current model, Skylines had to be grey-imported to the US and modified by Motorex to meet safety/emission standards. that company shut down when the head was indicted on kidnapping charges. any Skylines (Pre-R35) you see will be either kit cars or Motorex.

now the age old question.
WILL A SKYLINE BEAT A CORVETTE.
probably not. definately not in a straight drag race because, having FWD (or 4WD), they wont have as much momentum on the launch as the RWD Corvette.
also, the Vette probably handles/accelerates better. but until an expert compares them, we will never know.

1. There is no such thing as a Nissan Skyline R35 GT-R . The successor the the Skyline name is the Infiniti G35

2. The GT-R R35 is an AWD car from Nissan that is a 4 door paddle shifting car and great performer. While not as fast as the Z06 on the straights it is proven to beat the Z06 on numerous track courses. Also rated 6th on Nurburgring beating out numerous cars to include the Ferrari Enzo and the Porsche 911 Turbo. It has 480hp the 3.8L V6 twin turbo VR38DETT engine. It has numerous settings and controls to improve performance on the road. This car has received much hail and much hatred from critics. Its may not be the fastest car, it may not be the best looking car but it is a great car all around.

An old sports car from the 90's Japan. Very popular with tuners and jdm fanboys, but not as much as the Supra or R34.
