The number of people whom
Sidney Powell, Trump-appointed author of the "stolen
election" and "
voter fraud" narratives, felt could believe that what she was saying was true.
Lawyers for
Powell told a federal court that "no reasonable person" would conclude her unfounded claims of
voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election were statements of fact. Taking it a step further, Attorney Albert
Watkins, representing Jacob Chansley, the Q-Shaman, said that his client and other Capitol-storming defendants were "people with brain damage, they're fucking retarded".
