A small player is someone who is too weak to keep up with the group. This can be related to drinking games or just taking a cranberry juice.

person 1: 'Come on, down that drink! Or are you a small player?'
person 2: 'No, I'll do it right now!'

person 1: 'the small player committee just called, they want you as their president!'
person 2: 'fuck you, I'll down it right now!'
