Define Stoptional Meaning

1. The occurence when no other vehicles are around to see you run or roll through the stop sign.
2. Condition of a stop sign or light when one does not care what the other asshole motorists think when he or she has failed to stop.

While driving. Not completely stoping at a stop sign, but rather slowing down and coasting through. Same as a california stop.

Best if driver yells "Stoptional!" while commiting.

1. Not completely stopping at a stop sign, but going through it. The majority of drivers do this.

2. In those rare instances when for some reason a stop light won't turn green, or turns red for no real reason. Usually when the light is old and doesn't have a sensor to tell it where traffic is coming from, but there can be other factors.

A combination of the words stop and optional. Usage refers to a stop sign that is optional.

a. Upon arriving at a stop sign, it is an optional decision to come to a complete stop or not.

b. Decision to stop or not

c. Rolling stop

When the braking of a car is left to one's choice due to an unnecessary stop sign.

2.)The stop sign or flashing red light at the intersection itself.
