(verb)
1. to make a phrase or text longer by making it more poetic (hence the name) and
verbose.
2. to mention something in a
roundabout way, so the real word doesn't have to be said (this could happen for a variety of reasons e.g.
socially unacceptable language).
(Example 1.) "I'm not a fan of this kinda food." if you wax poetic, it becomes "I do
dislike this taste of
cuisine, indeed."
(Example 2.) "
Wanna fuck?" becomes "Would you like to come over to my place and hang?"
