A type of
sub sandwich found in Northern New England. Found in most
mom and pop type convenience stores, it is made with a very soft
sub roll, soaked in olive oil, and filled with meat, cheese, onions, tomatoes, black olives, and pickles.
Having grown up in Maine, she
longed to eat one of those italian sandwiches that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. With a swig of
Moxie, they are "
wicked good".
