The state of
mind that most parents are in, even after discovering that, no their child is not a
golden child.
It is a
denial and ignorance of disgusting or dangerous acts committed by their, usually teen, children.
Friend one: OMG, so my boyfriend and I were hooking up
in the kitchen, when we thought no one was home, and my mother walked in right as he picked me up and
put me on the counter! She didn't even notice!
