A piece of clothing that is tied around the neck that men normally wear in knots such as the Windsor knot. It is peated with a dress shirt and pants or a suit. Normally neckties are meant for formal occasion such as weddings. Neckties originated in the 18th century in France Which they call the cravat and was tied around military uniform. The necktie have some variants like the bowtie and Ascot.
A legendary method of executing a mob-hit wherein the assassin slits the throat of his victim and then reaches up inside the mouth and pulls the tongue back out the slit and lets it hang there like a cravat--to the horror of the unfortunate soul who discovers the recently-deceased.
