Rap dancing is the name mistakenly given to break dancing by Australian TV music presenter Molly
Meldrum after what was obviously a preposterously cocaine-fuelled
junket to the US in the 1980s. From this it entered the Australian lexicon and was a popular term for break dancing in Australia until the 1990s.
