A small town in Bergen County, N.J. Rutherford is the nicer version of East Rutherford. We hate it when you come from your town, and hang out in our downtown. If you live there, chances are you smoke a shitload of weed, amongst other things. I'd have a hard time naming 10 kids who don't do drugs or drink.

Everywhere you go, smell of weed will get you buzzed. A lot of kids look old as hell and gets cigarretes otherwise known as boges from most of the stores in Rutherford. Tar sluts everywhere. We call this town, the tar-town. Barely any girls here are semi or pretty. Kids go to the back of Dunkin Donuts or to the parking lot right behind the dunkin donuts to smoke weed. Police here are assholes... Alot of fucked up kids here. Little kids from middleschool such as 6th or 7th grades starting to smoke cigarretes and some may even smoke pot.

East Rutherford is a town divided in 2. North east of Route 17 is the home of the New Jersey Sports Authority which houses the stadium, IZOD Center and dreaded Xanadu Retail Project. On the other side of Route 17 is the residential section composed of working class people. Located in Southern Bergen County, NJ, most of the houses in this town were built in the 1920s, and are situated on small lots as was the trend at the time. East Rutherford is nNot to be confused with neighboring Rutherford, East Rutherford is almost like the bastard child of Rutherford. Rutherford most likely wishes that East Rutherford was still named Boiling Springs Township. All in all, East Rutherford and the surrounding towns have a rich Italian heritage and as a result have some of the best places to eat. It was also fabled that Hoffa was buried under the stadium. Unfortunately, due to many years of pollution anything north east of Route 17 (by the stadium) is contaminated, however, remediation has been ongoing in that area for many years.
