In computer and console games, slang for a (usually downloadable) texture - occasionally accompanied by a 3D model - that will replace one in the game for aesthetic purposes.

A verb whereby if one is to 'skin' he/she is producing a convincing fact or answer to a question that nobody else knows when in fact it is wrong. A 'skin' is given with enough conviction so that it can not be questioned without conducting further research on the 'skin'.
Used to refer to custom paint jobs of weapons in video games, or custom cosmetic content for games in general (also known as "reskins"). Skins are often used to reflect someone's dedication to a game, such as Counter-Strike, as certain skins are worth a lot of money based on their demand and rarity.
