The act of losing something and doing without it for a long time, then
having it again but
forgetting to use it. Being spoiled we are used to
having things. The opposite is true here with reverse spoilage as we get used to NOT having things.
I like to listen to music while driving in my car. 30 years ago my car radio was stolen, and so during the process of getting a new one, getting the money from the
insurance company and picking out a replacement stereo, I got
accustomed to driving around quietly. Once I got the stereo, I forgot to
turn it on due to the reverse spoilage.
