A band, yes, a BAND. And in my opinion, they ARE talented, and they play GOOD music. No, they are NOT punk or emo. They are simply POP. To the closeminded freaks who say people should listen to "good" music, shut your mouth and keep the hate to yourselves. McFly is a good band, whether you like them or not!

A band that absolutely rule and have done nothing to deserve the disgusting remarks some of the people have been saying.
People who make disgusting comments against them are just insanely jealous of McFly's talent.

An awesome band who play they're own instruments && write their own songs.

It really pisses me off how much they are compared && called 'baby busted'

I also hate it when people say that McFly are pretending to be rock.

They have never claimed to be a rock band, so I have no idea what you dudes are talking about, so take my advice...go find some friends.

McFly are obviously a cause for much debate, alot of people respect them as musicians that cater for a section of the counties musical tastes, while another section of people persist in trying to rile their fans. I think we can see who the children are here.
McFly write songs that are pop, yes, and no, they do not pretend to be rock.
If McFly are only for conformist people then why do McFly fans get laughed at and told they are wrong everyday? If you have all forgotten, being a conformist is doing what other people WANT you to do. Liking McFly's music is not conformism, it is musical taste. Just as liking Guns n’ roses, Bullet for my valentine, Slayer, 50 cent or any other band is. People say 'McFly were manufactured for 8 year-olds' well The clash were manufactured for punks... do you have a problem with that?

As for the claims that they are manufactured do your research before you judge. Tom and Danny met at an audition for Busted WHICH THEY DID NOT GET INTO and spent alot of time writing songs in a hotel room before placing a PRIVATE add in the indie rock magazine NME to which Dougie and Harry auditioned for. Because Tom had almost got into Busted and had attended alot of other auditions he was known in the industry and soon McFly's talent was spotted and they were signed.
Does that sound manufactured to you?
To me that sounds like a band who worked for what they achieved.

McFly's Influences include the beach boys and blink 182. They describe their own music as 'pop-rock' and decribe themselves as 'A boyband with guitars'.

A TALENTED band who CAN sing and play their own instruments. If you think they're so crap, why don't you go and try to play their songs infront of a sell out arena tour? Because you're such tight-minded that if a band plays a type of music which doesn't suit your taste, you instantly think that they completely suck and are just there because a record label thought that they were good looking. If you don't like that type of music, fair enough, but there's no need to go around making everyone think what a plonker you are, is there?

Hate McFly? Go flush your heard in a toilet until you start giving people respect at what genre they enjoy listening to.

Personally, I've been to 8 concerts, and as soon as the tickets come out for the next tour, I'm going. Every concert I've been to has been different, and they've totally rocked the stage. If you saw them play any of the guitar solo's to their songs, you'd probably change your mind. My friend took her friend who is MALE, and he didn't really like McFly. Ever since then, he's been a fan and he said it's one of the best concert's he's been to, and he goes to a LOT of concerts, eg. My Chemical Romance, Aiden, Lostprophets and so on.

the best british boy band ever, that some people dont appreciate because their taste in music is lacking so much they only know stupid bands that think they rule the world. Don't listen to the person who said that, how come mcfly filled 20 arenas after only their first single was released? People who like mcfly will go far as they are such a good british boyband
