When You want to hang out with your Friend but they come up with some lousy excuse, so you tell them you remember that because when they want to hang out with you, you will come up with some lousy excuse just like they did.

Man 1 : "Hey, lets go this place."

The complete phrase is"if you remember grodie to the max" but that phrase gets a bit cumbersome so the foreshortening works better. It basically means a way of calling someone out who's still living in the 80s and doesn't realize it.
