Define Bible Thumper Meaning

One who uses the Bible to attack/defame others' characters instead of as a guide to proper living. These people tend to be depressingly ignorant of anything else except the Bible and behavior as expected by the religious.

Originating from typically southern US fundamentalist Christian sects given to evangelizing in a very outgoing, rumbunctious way, often characterized by a religious bigot standing on a street corner, with or without foam around his mouth, shouting about how we should all turn to Christ, whilst vigourously thumping his soft covered bible for emphasis.
Their actions usually do more harm than good to their cause and bring into disrepute and ridicule those more reticent Christians.

Some ass clown who tries to convert people to his version of Christianity, using a book he's too ignorant and incompetent to fully comprehend. Fully ignorant of the historical, cultural and literary context of the Bible. Every Bible thumper gives the South a bad name. We're not all like that down here, promise y'all that.

1) Someone who is extremely evangelical in their religious belief. Many of them believe that their denomination is the one true denomination, and all others are wrong or evil. They try to make you feel like your life is a waste and use scriptures that have nothing to do with what they're saying to "explain" themselves.

2) Someone who screws with a very religious person.

Someone of the Christian religion who acts like a wacko and 80% of the time they are hypocrites. They shove their beliefs down your throat and are very judge mental.

An individual who lives by the principles of the Bible, and follows the teachings of Jesus Christ as a way of life. Jesus' followers are called Christians. A Christian is a disciple of Jesus, and a disciple means a follower. Bible thumpers (aka Christians) live by the fact that the Bible is the living Word of God, and live their lives in a way that pleases and glorifies God, in order to assure salvation in heaven.
