One of the few places in America where rich white kids and poor black men cooexist.

A little city with ridiculous ghettos but also million+ dollar homes...yalies and homeless people share the downtown. Known for amazing pizza and Toads

A small city in Southern Connecticut that is being bought out by Yale University. There are rich sections like Beaver Hill, Westville, East Rock, The Cove, and of course the Yale area. Then there are the hoods, The Ville, Hill, Tre, Tribe, Jungle, Eastern Circle, the G, the 2-5, and some others I forgot. Downtown is full of boutiques and stores at which only Yalies shop. There are tons of public high schools and one prep school, Hopkins. It is ghetto and there are gangs and drugs on every corner but out of state gangsters don't respect the hustling that is going on in New Haven. I wouldn't either, lol. It's pretty safe. Sure it's no Southport, but people shouldn't be afraid of it.

Yale and the surrounding area.

the moat of hoboes, black people, and crazies that surrounds yale university. after about 11:00 pm it it extremely dangerous to go out alone, due to the frequent stabbings, shootings, rapes, and assaults that occur there.

PIZZA. pepe's, the spot, sally's, bar, dayton street. Downtown where the meatheads roam and 16 year old girls show ID's made of paper to go to alchemy, oracle, nikkita, gotham, sci-fi, ponchos. quinnipiac kids welcome, yale kids stay at the f'in library. ball at edgewood park during the day, concerts on the green every saturday night, rest in peace new haven coliseum. you have cross, hillhouse, career high schools, SCSU, the farnham house, slums, bums, million dollar cribs, champagne hoes with kool-aid money. A cool city in Connecticut, feels kind of like a scaled down mix of Philly and Brooklyn, has some bad areas but many nice areas as well. New Haven is also home to one of the most prestigious schools in the world, Yale University, and has great art, music, and food.

New Haven, One of few cities in Connecticut that isnt the stereotype of what CT is. New Haven is very diverse; Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Indian not to mention all the different ethnic groups included in each race. There are safe sections of New Haven and grimey sections of New Haven, but what city isnt like that ? Most importantly a cool city to grow up in especially if you love the city type vibe. Yea people love to talk down on New Haven, but that just tells you that they're probably just a hater. If you never been to New Haven dont judge it based off of the other parts of Connecticut its nothing like the rest.( Bridgeport and Hartord not included) Home of some of the most humble people CT has to offer.
