Phonetic spelling of the military acronym HUA, which stands for "Heard Understood Acknowledged." Originally used by the British in the late 1800's in Afghanistan. More reciently adopted by the United States Army to indicate an affirmative or a pleased response.

Worthless 1SG or Company Commander at COB formation at 2330 hrs: Formation tomorrow will be at 0315, bring in all of your issued gear and be prepared to take the APFT. After formation all barracks personell will stand at by their rooms for inspection, post housing personell will police call the parking lot, and off post personell will sweep the line at the motor pool.

A word slang for any acknowledgement or for showing excitement or an accomplishment. Of military origins.
Huzzah was used by the British marines and soldiers until the late 19th century. When the Americans adopted it, it was changed to hooah. Also it can be seen as the Canadian version as hooeh. (I am part of the Canadian military)

A word used in the United States Army usually used by pogue ass bitches. It can mean pretty much anything. If you get caught saying this word where i am from you get the fuckin shit smoked out of you and a good "we got a detail behind the conex" AKA a good jumping. sometimes used by Infantry men to fuck with thier nco's must be over emphasized tho and must be said in a very high pitched girly voice.

Sgt: grab some guys do a quick police call then bring ur rucks and kits here to be inspected for tomorrows road march.
