A term used to negatively refer to the people who live in either Highland Park or University Park, Texas. These cities are located in the heart of Dallas as close as you can get to downtown without being in the ghetto. The people there usually follow these stereotypes: "The girls are beautiful, the boys are well-groomed and cocky. The women are nosy and annoying (especially if mothers), and the men are aggressive and self-affirming." Everyone has a lot of money, and no minorities live there. This is not the place for you if you are at all "different". There are cops everywhere. The most noticeable trait of a Parkie is being disconnected from the outide world, hence the term used to describe the cities themselves, "the Bubble". Despite all this, many of the people there are kind, good friends even, if you can get past the obvious. It is worth noting that this term is usually used by people who live outside the Bubble.

Uncomfortably cold, to the point you're shivering. Mainly used in the North of England, UK. Probably dirived from weather cold enough to need a parker.

Someone who works in a national park, or forest, either multiple seasons or year round. They can work for the Park or Forest service, or a concession company, so long as they actually work in the park.

A small community in Dallas, Texas often referred to as the bubble. Lots of people diss HP but its really not that bad. People are PARTLY right in saying people here are snobby and rich, but saying that we are ALL really rude and snobby isn't fair though because there still some nice people who live here. We are used to expensive clothes and food, but that doesn't mean that none of us deserve it. Many people who live here own businessess and are doctors or other professions that bring in a large cash flow. People from HP are often called Parkies. Please don't pay attention to the definitions that say we are sooooooo rich and soooooo awesome and everyone is just mad because we are so much cooler than them!
