A city about 50 miles north of San Francisco, CA (so a 2.5 hour
drive on highway 101, up to 5 if it's during rush hour). A formerly nice city with lots to do, it's become a suburb of the bay area, due to a massive influx of 20somethings who make
six figures. Traffic is insane, the residents are all either rich or poor and trying to convince themselves to stay, and everyone likes playing hippy to varying degrees. Wine and tech are king, and because of this 70% of
Santa Rosa's economy is driven by tourists.
"Santa Rosa is the best place to used to live in"
Bob: "Hey, my 12 year old brother is looking for weed"
Fred: "Tell him to go to Santa Rosa, I'm sure he'll find someone to sell him some"
Karen: "I just love Wine Country so much, I'm so glad my husband, who is
the CEO of a tech firm, bought land here! I just wish we could gas all of the homeless people who hang out around my favorite
boutique thrift shops!"
