Then: Scary, godless cult working with Soviet Russia to take away our freedom

Communists
Like democracy, socialism, marxism, and other forms of government, a form where the ruling class claims to give power to the majority (the people, working class, whatever), while instead, devoting it to themselves.

The concept of communism, just like the concept of democracy, would work fine if it was not corrupt, or if it did what it claimed is stood for.

Communists
A political and economic system that rejects the concept of personal ownership of property in favour of having all the wealth in the government's hands, and supplying necessary, and possibly luxury, goods to the population according to the individual's, and the mass's, needs.

This system is inefficient on a larger scale because of greediness and sloth, as in, many people taking more than they need and giving less than they can, although in a Kibbutz, or commune, this system is fairly efficient when coupled with some lenience regarding personal property (As in, allowing the capitalist based system of currency, but still keeping the economy run exclusively by the Kibbutz or commune management).

"To each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs" ~ Exert from the Communist Manifesto.

The communist party garners the working class vote through promises of equality.

The communists are overthrowing the capitalist government.

Idiots who didn't read Marx and thought it would be funny if they said everyone was equal and redistributed the wealth to themselves.

The Communist
A sex position created by Cosmonauts during the rather enthusiastic early years of the Soviet Union's space program. Once the space craft leaves Earth's orbit, both participants paint themselves in a vibrant shade of red, lay face to face, and hold their arms and legs out to form a star. Most importantly, it must be done in zero gravity so that no one is on top.

Cosmonaut 1: Yes comrade, on my last mission to MIR Anna Karenina and I performed The Communist.

Cosmonaut 2: Was it as good as they say comrade-captain?

Cosmonaut 1: It was utter pleasure for both of us.

Communist
A title used by members of the political party that is the furthest to the left. A communist believes that the means of production and the fruits of production should be owned and granted to the workers. (Ex. Factory workers producing snow-globes should jointly own the factory and receive all the profit from the snow-globes that are sold, then divided equitably among the workers). The philosophy of communism arose from a man named Karl Marx who lived in the monarchist Germany in the mid-1800s. Europe was home to many unfair societies at the time, where there were a few rich, (the bourgeoisie) and the rest of society were poor, abused, laborers. Karl Marx advocated destroying the rich aristocracy in favor a country filled with only laborers who governed themselves and everybody was equal, socially and financially.

John believes that he and his fellow coal miners should get the foreman fired and proclaim ownership over the mine and should receive all the profits from the coal's sale, and then share it equitably with his fellows. John is a communist.

Communist
Adjective form of Communism. Typically used for a person who believes in Communism; A person who belives that the ideal society is stateless, religionless, moneyless and classeless where the means of production (things like farms, shops, factories, roads) are owned by all members of the society, in other words a socialist, anarchist, atheist society. There may be some cases where non Atheists can be communists (such as Christian communist movement).

Like most political definitions, Communism is vaguely defined. Are members of the Chrisitan communist movement communists even though they believe in god? Was the Soviet Union Communist even though it went as far from Anarchism as can be?

What we all agree on however, is that Communists all want to abolish private ownership of the means of production (which doesn't get us anywhere, because Socialism has the same definition). Therefore Communists are fundamentally opposed to Capitalists and Aristocrats/pro-Feudalism peeps.

Communist
A person who believes in a stateless, moneyless, and classless society. Communism is the final stage of societal development according to Marx after socialism. Though both are leftists and collectivists, socialists and communists are rather different. Socialists advocate for the means of production to be owned by the workers.

Contrary to popular belief: China and the DPRK are not communists. Their state ownership of the means of production has given communists a bad name.
