from the jamaican word bretheren (means brother, whereas sistheren, is sister)

Originally used by youths as a shortened version of bretherin to describe their gang/group members.

It has now been picked up by many university students, especially rahs, in an attempt to sound cool or ghetto

It is now often used in place of a name for someone who is unknown.

Used to refer to a male, usually as a past tense.

Breh is the most commonly used word in a style of talking called, "Brehznitch." Breh is simply a variation of the word, "Bro," which is short for brother. The creators of Brehznitch originally only used this word sparingly, but as time went on they began using the word after almost every sentence.

Breh is the new bruh, breh. I guess they are interchangeable. It means 'bro'.

Term used mainly in South Jersey (that's the southern portion of the state of New Jersey) and the Philadelphia area. It is equivalent to the more mainstream term "bro", and can also be seen as an alternative spelling. However, because the of inherently trashy culture of the South Jersey-Philadelphia area, the term may be used differently than "bro".
