A zombie whose legs have been removed or disabled. Considered particularly dangerous because they're harder to spot, and not muchslower than the normal.

A term used in the popular video games Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops when playing the Zombie Mode.
It refers to a zombie which has had its legs blown off by a grenade. These zombies are typically extremely slow, but can be dangerous if a player is not vigilant.
Because a round does not start until all zombies are killed, they are often kept alive at the end of rounds to purchase ammo, perks, and guns without starting the next round.
A zombie with it's legs blown off. It can only crawl after you, making it much less of a threat than if it were able to sprint. In the popular video game Call of Duty: Black Ops, the "Crawler technique," is utilized to give players more time to purchase guns, talk strategy, ect. (The round doesn't shift until every zombie has been killed therefore players have as much time as they please if they turn the last zombie into a "crawler.")
Yo I'm out of ammo! I need to go get some after this round!" "Someone get a crawler.
