A phrase used to move past an
awkward situation, it can also be used as a
bridge between two topics. Another use is to fill a silence as an
introduction for somebody to say something else.

Alrighty then...."
Person: "And that is why
I like cheese."
Other Person: "Alrighty then, who's up for pizza?"
Person: "So I got fired, then I hit my boss."
